SLS-3407 is designed to help students already in college to focus on interests and skills in order to help develop a career path.  In this course you will learn to:

  • Assess knowledge, skills, and abilities to develop professional and personal goals
  • Use resources and information that can be utilized in career decision-making to select an appropriate major
  • Use career development strategies when looking for employment and/or graduate school opportunities
  • Learn to assess personal knowledge, skills, and abilities to gain insight into personal goals and objectives
  • Utilize key occupational and educational online resources when completing course assignments
  • Develop a professional resume, cover letter, and a thank you letter post-interview
  • Learn salary negotiation skills
