Library Help for Online Nursing Students

Library and research advice and resources for online nursing students.

General Information

For library and research help while you are an FIU student, your first option should be to contact the FIU Libraries directly, since each library has a unique set of resources (and all the resources and services at the FIU Libraries are free to you!). Go to the Get Help page of this guide for a full list of contact options, including our online chat service.

However, if you need in-person help or study space, and are not in the South Florida area, use the directories below to find a library near you.

Note: public libraries often have limited health sciences resources at the professional/research level. For specialized resources and advanced research assistance in the health sciences, an academic (university or college) or medical library may be your best option.

Find a Library

Florida Academic Libraries

As an FIU student, you have access and borrowing privileges at all (public) Florida State Universities and Community College Libraries with your FIU OneCard. This includes all the universities and colleges in the map at the left. (Universities are written in white letters; colleges are written in black letters.) See the Online Student Resources guide for more information.

(Click on the map to enlarge it.)

If you would like to use a library that is not on the map, be aware that some libraries may charge a membership or entry fee for access and/or borrowing privileges. Contact the library directly for access information and requirements.
