Head of Special Collections Vicki Silvera was Recognized by the Mayor!

For years, Vicki Silvera, head of the Special Collections Department, has organized toy drives for underserved children in the Little Haiti neighborhood of Miami during the holiday season. On Friday, May 13th, she was recognized for her efforts with a proclamation from City of Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado.

Pat Santangelo from the Mayor's Office presented Vicki with the certificate, citing "appreciation for her hard work and dedication to the community and to FIU." Congratulations Vicki!

As the university moves towards more online course offerings, the FIU Libraries are offering more and more digital content! Check out the FIU Libraries Digital Activities Annual Report for 2014-2015. The report includes updates on digital library growth, collection performance, and the expansion of partnerships with both internal and external entities.
