The Spring Library Fair for Students welcomed over 390 students to the 2nd floor of the Green Library. Compared to our Library Fair in the Fall, we feel this event had a nice steady flow of traffic throughout the 3 hours causing very few bottlenecks. Also, we noticed students were engaged and wanted to learn rather than just looking for a stamp for food.
Our students were happy, learned something new, had a bite to eat, and had fun! Comments from students include:
Everyone was super friendly and willing to explain what their job was.
I enjoyed the activities, the tabling, and the giveaways.
I loved it. It was very informational and you guys should do things like this more often!!!
The less than stellar feedback included:
I don't like pizza
More pizza
More giveaways is my personal recommendation.
This year we had two students from the Honors College who volunteered for the day; a huge thank you to Sara and Gabriela. Other students who were instrumental in the success of the event include Matthew, Sebastian, Camilla, and Loris; they jumped right in and made a difference! Many thanks to our students and all of you.
This comment, "I love how it felt like a community" is who we are at our core. We are a community working at the best place on campus.
