Dashboards allow you to create shareable custom pages that provide a broad overview of the library's metrics. Dashboards can be used internally, or you can create public-facing dashboards to give your community real-time insight into the usage of their library's services.

In this course, you'll learn how to create Dashboards so you can share graphs, data, and text about the data in your LibInsight datasets. Each Dashboard can be shared internally or made available to the public. Once you have added rows to your Dashboard, you can customize the color, type, and text content to highlight key data points and relationships.

Create and customize widgets for data collection outside of your LibInsight system.

Each dashboard page is organized in rows, with each row containing either a chart from one of your datasets or rich text content. By combining multiple charts, you can quickly measure your progress toward fiscal year goals, track service volume, and analyze the usage of your print & digital collections.

Dashboards allow you to create shareable custom pages that provide a broad overview of the library's metrics. Dashboards can be used internally, or you can create public-facing dashboards to give your community real-time insight into the usage of their library's services.

Each dashboard has a set of Settings to change the details of the dashboard (name, description, friendly URL, status, type, and custom CSS/JS), permissions, date filter options, and reorder of the dashboard's rows that can be adjusted at any time—during initial setup, when you're ready to publish a dashboard, or for previously published dashboards.

For any dataset that allows you to upload data, LibInsight will keep track of each uploaded file in the dataset's Uploads List. From here, you can download a local copy of the file, or delete the file (and its data) from your dataset.
