The Chart Options in your System Settings are used to set the display options for all charts on the Analyze report page—allowing you to set the display behavior for showing values in dataset analysis for all charts regardless of the dataset type being analyzed.

The Financial Year Dates are used to set the default date filters applied when analyzing data. These could be fiscal year dates, academic year dates, calendar year dates, or whatever is most useful to you! You can even choose to have LibInsight automatically adjust these dates at the conclusion of each financial year (i.e. increase the year of the Start Date and End Date).

The Alerts box is a great way to communicate with your colleagues in LibInsight. When a user visits the LibInsight homepage, an alert box will appear at the top. Think of this as a bulletin board where you can share updates, policies, contact info, links -- or just about anything else you may think is helpful for people to know. In LibInsight you have to option to add two custom alert messages -- one for all users and one that is only visible to Admins

In your LibInsight General system settings, you can customize basic details about your institution and LibInsight system, including its name and administrative contact.

Admin users can customize a selection of the default labels used on LibInsight's public dashboard pages.

Admin users can find the system settings by going to Admin > System Settings where you can customize a variety of general settings including look and feel, date and currency formats, etc. for your site.

The System Date Format is used to set the default date format for data uploads. This is just the default; you can select another format when uploading data if needed. You can also customize the Record Data / Widget Time Format. This allows you to display times in 24-hour (i.e. 13:00) or 12-hour (i.e. 01:00 pm) formats when recording data to Custom and Shared datasets.

Add a new user account, Overview of user account levels, & Manage user accounts

There are four different user levels in LibInsight. Admin, Regular-level, and Editor-level users can create dashboards and use the cross-dataset analysis tool to analyze their datasets.

While admin users have control over what datasets regular level accounts can access (along with the level of the account), all account holders have a set of their own LibInsight account settings that they can manage. This springboard will show the account settings available to regular-level users (admin users will also be able to change the level of the account), with the links below providing you more info on the available settings.

When a staff member leaves your organization or no longer needs access to a Springshare tool, you'll likely want to take action on their accounts in each relevant product.

By default, all system-level Admins have full access to each dataset, meaning they can manage the dataset's settings, add & edit records, and analyze data. Regular-level users have full access to datasets they own, however, they do not have access to datasets they do not won unless given permission by an Admin or the dataset owner (for datasets owned by other Regular users). Similarly, Editor-level users do not have access to a dataset unless given permission by an Admin or the dataset owner. Each dataset's permissions are handled separately, meaning someone can have access to one dataset, but not another.
