LibX 2.0 (FIU Libraries)

The FIU Library edition was developed with LibX release version 2.0 which is only available for Firefox and Chrome.

For Chrome Users

  1. To install the EZproxy Bookmarklet in Chrome, click here. You will be taken to a new page with a button for adding FIU LibX 2.0 to Chrome.

  2. After clicking on the button, a pop-up window will appear you asking you to confirm that you want to install LibX as a browser extension. If you are ok with adding the extension, click Add. For more information on LibX Privacy Policy, please see the LibX Settings section.

  3. A new pop-up window will appear in the top right-hand corner of your browser notifying you that you have added the extension successfully. An icon for LibX will also appear in your browser.

  4. Clicking on the LibX icon will give you access to the drop-down LibX toolbar.

For Firefox Users

  1. To install the EZproxy Bookmarklet in Firefox, click here.

  2. A dialogue box will appear on your screen. Click on Install Now to add the LibX extension to your browser.

  3. A new pop-up window will appear in the left-hand corner of your screen below the address bar notifying that you need need to restart Firefox in order for the extension to be installed.

  4. Firefox should close and reopen automatically and an icon for LibX will also appear in your browser. Clicking on the icon will give you access to the drop-down LibX toolbar.
