ETD Guide

Detailed Guide through the ETD process

Signature Page Submission

Binding is not a UGS requirement, however some departments do require students to provide bound copies of their work. Please check the requirements for your department. In addition to departmental requirements, many students choose to bind copies of their work for personal use.

If you plan to have your work bound, you can submit a signed version of the signature page in your ETD manuscript (page ii) to UGS. Collect all signatures, except the UGS dean, and submit the page as part of your Final ETD Approval form paperwork. After the UGS dean signs the page, we will return it to you.

BINDING COMPANIES

For your convenience, we are providing a list of binding companies who have experience working with theses and dissertations. There may be other companies in the area who can provide this service, so feel free to shop around.  Also, soft binding is available through the copy center on campus.

Note: Neither FIU nor the University Graduate School are responsible for the work of binding companies.
