Publisher Sharing Policies

Policies for sharing versions of your articles vary among publishers.  Some will allow you to post a version of your article immediately, while others ask you to embargo for between 6 to 24 months.  The How Can I Share It? site provides links to over three dozen publisher pages that explain your sharing options.

When you don't have the right version, consider these simple strategies:

 Contact co-authors to see if that version is available

Submit your Pre-Print, the version before peer review

Check to see if your accepted manuscript has been posted by the publisher elsewhere (Pubmed, SSRN etc). 

  Login to your account on the publisher's site and see if the accepted manuscript is available through your author dashboard.
