Data Computing Resources

This guide provides information to locate computer labs for gathering, processing, and analyzing data, as well as software and hardware resources.

eLabs

Many software programs are available on any computer through eLabs @FIU.

FIU eLabs is a free cloud-based service provided to FIU students, faculty and staff, allowing users to remotely access applications licensed to the university utilizing Citrix Workspace.

FIU Online
The following free programs are recommended for use with the LMS and/or viewing and creating files related to some online courses. All of these software titles are available for download directly from the software company, so be sure to check minimum requirements for your computer and browser before downloading. In addition to the free software resources listed below, other software titles, including Microsoft and Adobe products, are available for purchase at reduced educational pricing at Shop FIU.
