This guide is composed of various formats of scholarly information created by the academic community of Burning Man, along with other notable contributions by the Burning Man Organization. It is also a work in progress. My hope is to create an open access and dynamic resource of scholarly resources and useful information for everyone. I am open to ideas, suggestions, and creative impulses so please share your thoughts. I also hope to include other interesting formats such as sound files, documentaries and other worthy resources relevant to our community. In the meantime, please enjoy perusing and exploring Burning the Man, Academically. I want to thank my gracious friend and generous colleague, Shelby Powell, without whom this guide would not be possible. See you on the playa!

About the Burning Man Organization
"Burning Man is a network of people inspired by the values reflected in the Ten Principles and united in the pursuit of a more creative and connected existence in the world. Throughout the year we work to build Black Rock City, home of the largest annual Burning Man gathering, and nurture the distinctive culture emerging from that experience. The hub of this global network is the 501(c)(3) non-profit Burning Man Project, headquartered in San Francisco, California."
