FIU Libraries: Art Research Guide: Turabian

INTRODUCTION

Turabian is based on the Chicago Manual of Style by Kate Turabian. The two styles are so similar, they are often grouped together. The main difference between the two styles, besides minor puncuation rules, is that Turabian has been adapted to suit the needs of students whereas Chicago focuses more on publication. University of Illinois Turabian Guide
Easy to understand, thanks to the color-coded parts of a citation.
Northwestern Missouri State University Turabian Guide
Provides examples of citations from different databases, including EBSCOhost, Gale, CQ Researcher and others as well as examples of citing web pages.
Ohio State University Turabian Style Guide
SFU Turabian Style Guide
Contains information on how to format papers as well as create citations.
Univ. of Chicago: Turabian Quick Guide
Kate L. Turabian’s Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and Dissertations presents two basic documentation systems: notes-bibliography style (or simply bibliography style) and author-date style (sometimes called reference list style). These styles are essentially the same as those presented in The Chicago Manual of Style, sixteenth edition, with slight modifications for the needs of student writers.
