Browsing is too time consuming if you have a specific topic.  For example, if you’re looking for an historical, sociological, psychological aspect of a topic, you might find something in the B, D, E, F or H sections of the library.  For specific topics, use the FIU Library Catalog.

When searching for resources on a specific topic, you'll need to search a library catalog.

To locate resources in the FIU Libraries' collections search the FIU Libraries Catalog.

To identify resources outside of the FIU Libraries, use the catalogs below.  Then, borrow a resource using ILLiad, our interlibrary loan service.  Click here to open your free ILLiad account.

For additional libraries in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach counties, click here.

Use ILLiad (interlibrary loan) to order books that we do not own.  Open your ILLiad account asap.

Order a book and you will be notified through email that your book has arrived.  Books generally arrive within 2 weeks.

TIP: When searching WorldCat, click on the book title and use the Send Request to Illiad link to order the book.  Sign-in to Illiad and the database will fill in the form for you!
