Changes on the horizon
There are a few platform and interface changes for a couple of the Libraries' research tools and sites.

The end of the Fall semester is nearing, which also means it's Thanksgiving week and almost Finals Week!
Library hours for Thanksgiving:
Closed = Thu, 11/27 & Fri, 11/28
Open 9am to 5pm = Sat, 11/29
The new Academic Skills & Knowledge Center (ASK! Center) housed on the 2nd floor of the BBC Hubert Library will be formally dedicated on Thursday, October 30 at 9:30AM. Refreshments will follow in the new Starbucks® located on the 1st floor of the Library. Funded by FIU’s Technology Fee, the ASK! Center is a student learning and support zone for writing, grammar, languages, study-skills, library and database research, and academic technology use. The ASK!

Now on display in the Gallery at Green Library, through September 2014, are items from The Kampong of the National Tropical Botanical Garden, the residence of David Fairchild.
Included are photographs of Fairchild in his study, his typewriter, desk fan, stationery, many plant specimens and labels, and other ephemera.
Printing and scanning just got easier!
You now have multiple options for sending print jobs and multiple payment options, all on new machines!
Printing can be done using any library computer/laptop; via email; via USB; through cloud document storage (Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive); or through the free PrintMe app.

The 4th of July is upon us! The University and the Libraries will be taking a break for the holiday and will be closed this Friday, July 4th. Summer hours will resume on Saturday.
