To verify that your card is activated, go to Online Renewal Service webpage and enter the 14-digit number on the back of your FIU PantherCard. If the system responds with "No items checked out to this patron ID number", then your library card is already activated. If you experience problems connecting to a full-text database or other proprietary database, veri fy that you have correctly connected via the FIU Proxy Server. If you are still having problems with your library card, please refer to the ACTIVATION PROBLEMS section below.
If you do not receive the above response, your card is not activated. Follow the instructions below to activate your card.
INSTRUCTIONS
- Complete and submit the form below to request the activation of your library card if you are an FIU faculty member, staff, or currently enrolled student. Please allow one business day for processing.
- The bar code number on the reverse of your FIU PantherCard is your library card number. You must include the Library Card Number, otherwise your library card can not be activated.
