Employee of the Month -- September 2004

I am pleased to announce that our employee of the month for September is Pushya, Circulation Supervisor at University Park. Her full name is Pushyamitra Veeramachaneni. By profession, she is a lawyer, having earned the Bachelor of Laws from Andhra University, India, in 1988.

Pushya first came to the library as an OPS worker several years ago, assisting Debbie Stafford with accounts payable and patron record updating. In October, 2001, she was appointed Circulation Supervisor. The circulation functions she supervises include course reserves, stack maintenance, and the various services associated with customer records. She has worked diligently to improve customer service and the efficiency of this area. Naturally inquisitive, she is a strong believer in customer service with a smile and a thank-you.

According to her supervisor, Pushya displays a "can-do" attitude and works tirelessly to ensure that customer needs are addressed quickly and correctly.
