Employee of the Month -- October 2004

Employee of the Month for October is Kenshonnan Gates, Stack Maintenance Supervisor, BBC Library. Ken has a truly challenging task: reconciling the critical space situation with a continuing stream of library resources in need of reshelving. In spite of this, the stacks are maintained in excellent order so that library users can find the materials they are seeking.

Through Ken’s efforts, shelving backlogs are almost non-existent, even during the busiest times of the semester. According to his supervisor, “Ken can always be depended on to complete any and all assignments in a timely, conscientious manner. His thoroughness and attention to detail result in a low frequency of errors and reflect his concern for patron satisfaction.”

At the Circulation Desk, his customer service skills are exemplary and, as a supervisor, he elicits a high level of service and dedication from his students. Congratulations, Ken, for this well-deserved recognition.
