Employee of the Month -- December 2004

It is my pleasure to announce that Gloria Halvorsen, nee Hancock, is our Employee of the Month for December. She is Library Technical Assistant in the Acquisitions Section, Resource Development Department.

Gloria joined the staff of the library June 23, 1997. She is in charge of receiving books, AV material, music scores, and in fact all library materials ordered by the Acquisitions Section. She has the responsibility of contacting the vendors when there is a discrepancy on materials received vs. the invoice; also, she processes approval invoices for payment and helps with special orders under the plan.

According to her supervisor, “Gloria is a hard worker and doesn’t rest until everything has been completed. She is always willing to help when and where needed.”
