Welcome!

As a distance/online student, you have access to the same library services and resources as on-campus students.  Please contact Sarah J. Hammill, Distance Learning Librarian  hammills@fiu.edu  with questions.

 

Get Started!

  • Get your Library Number.  If you have an FIU Panthercard, then you have a library number.  It is the 14 digit number on the back of your student ID.  If not, click here to get one! [more...]

 

Get Help!

Find E-Resources

  1. Research by Subject - Start with the Quick Research Databases or click on the relevant subject area for your research.
  2. When you find an article you want, click on the link to full-text or click on

    to see if the full-text is available in another database.

  3. Check out the FIU Libraries Digital Collections.
  4. Search the Libary Catalog for e-books and government documents.
  5. Use the Citation Linker.  It will search for the full-text of an article citation across 350+ databases.
  6. Search Course Reserves for items your professor put on electronic reserve.

 

Article & Book Delivery

  1. Interlibrary Loan - use this if you need something that FIU Libraries doesn't own or have access to.
  2. Book Request Form - use this if you need a book owned by FIU Libraries.
