Steps to Finding Library Resources:

  1. Go to the Library Homepage.  - http://library.fiu.edu/

     

     

  2. Click off-campus access

     


     

      

  3. To Find articles in Occupational Therapy click Research (tab @ top).

     

     

     

  4. Click Allied Health & Medicine and then click Occupational Therapy.

     

     

  5. Notice the list of databases on this page. Below is a sample search in CINAHL Plus with Full Text. 

     

     

     

  6. You will also want to search Cochrane Library. This is accessed by clicking on C on the Research Page.  It is also demonstrated below.

  9. Click on Full to get the full review.

     

     

     

     

     

  10. Searching CINAHL Plus with Full Text.

     

     

     

     

  11. You can limit your results to Peer-Reviewed.  Also, notice the FIND IT @ FIU button. 

     

     

  12. Find it @ FIUWhen you find an item you want, click on the link to full-text. If there is not a link to full-text, click on FIND IT @ FIU. A new window opens and searches for the full‐text of the article across 300+ databases.

     

    Notice the link to the article.  You should be able to click on the link for access to the article.

     

     

     

  13. If the FIND IT @ FIU menu says: Sorry, no holdings were found for this journal.  This means the full-text is not online but it doesn't mean you can't get the article!

     

     

     

  14. Use Intercampus Loan to request an article delivered to your desktop from one FIU Campus to another.

     

     

  15. Use Interlibrary Loan to request an article delivered to your desktop when it is not in FIU Libraries.
