Steps to Finding Articles

  1. Go to the Library Homepage.  - http://library.fiu.edu/

     

  2. Click off-campus access

     


     

      

  3. Click Research (tab @ top).

     

     

     

  4. Try the Quick Research Databases (Academic Index, Omni File Full Text Mega, and Proquest)

  6. Sample Search in Academic OneFile

  7. Sample Search in Proquest
  8.  

     

  9. Notice the suggested topicsin Proquest. Click on one if it is right on target.

     

  10. When you find an article you want, look for a link to the full-text. If it doesn't exist, click FIND IT @ FIU. This will open a new window and search for the full-text across more than 300 databases.

  12. If the FIND IT @ FIU menu says: Sorry, no holdings were found for this journal. This means the full-text is not online but it doesn't mean you can't get the article!

  14. Use Intercampus Loan to request an article delivered to your desktop from one FIU Campus to another.
  15.  

     

  16. Use Interlibrary Loan to request an article delivered to your desktop when it is not in FIU Libraries.
