via EPO's esp@cenet
Varies by country Access to patent databases for Great Britain, European countries (in native languages), Japan (Japanese with English abstracts), and the World Intellectural Property Organization. Searches are based on the bibliographic data in patent documents, using an easy-to-operate search mask which is not, however, suitable for more complex searches. The full text images of the documents in esp@cenet are available as PDF files. You need to have the freeware Acrobat Reader installed properly on your workstation.

via CIPO
1920-present Access over 75 years of patent descriptions and images. Electronically available patent information consists of patent document images, bibliographic data, and patent document text. Searches are performed against the bibliographic and text data fields only, and a "hit list" of matching patents is returned. Images are not searchable but can be viewed for any particular patent that has been returned in a hit list. The text of the abstracts and claims is not available for patents that were granted prior to August 15, 1978. These patents can only be searched by their patent number, titles, owner or inventor names, or classification.
