Printing & Saving

Printing
Several printers are located throughout the library buildings. Printing requires purchase of a copycard, and incurs a charge per document page. See a Service Desk or Ask a Librarian for more information.

Saving
Documents may be saved to floppy disk or to flash drives. Select computers may also have access to CD burners or zip drives. Flash drives and external floppy drives are available for checkout.

Computers & the Libraries

Library computers are provided to support education and learning at FIU. This includes doing research for class work, preparing and printing class papers, reports and projects, using class web pages and discussion forums, e-mailing instructors and other class members, and other related activities.

Computers are available for use at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus -  Green Library and the Biscayne Bay Campus Library.  A limited number of laptops are also available for checkout from the Circulation Desk.

For more information on Library Laptops, Internet and Computer Use Policies, visit the Technology Policies page.
