Quiet Zone Policy

A Quiet Zone is an area designated specifically for quiet study and reading.   

Please observe the following rules while in a Quiet Zone:

• Talking is not allowed, including on the cell phone.
• Cell phones, beepers, and other electronic devices must be silenced.
• Use the stairwells if you must speak on the phone.
• Personal video and music devices, including laptops audio/video devices, must be used with headphones.  Sounds from these devices must not be heard with the headphones being worn.

Your cooperation is appreciated.

Failure to observe these rules may result in being asked to leave the library.

Quiet Zone locations:

• Green Library, Modesto A. Maidique Campus:
  All areas of the 3rd, 6th, & 7th floors.
• Biscayne Bay Campus Library:
  All areas of the 3rd floor.
