Economics Research

Welcome to the FIU Library's guides to doing research in the field of Economics. Below, to the left, are guides to the main sources (databases, books, websites) available to FIU students and employees.  In the center are guides to using specific resources, as well as suggestions on how to proceed in doing specific types of research.
Economics websites:

Business Information Center:  Economics.  A collection of databases and websites related to Economics.

RFE: References for Economists on the Internet.  This guide is sponsored by the American Economic Association.  It lists more than 2,000 resources in 97 sections and sub-sections available on the Internet of interest to academic and practicing economists, and those interested in economics.  Almost all resources are also described.

Web-Ec. WebEc was an effort to categorize free information in economics on the WWW.  WebEc and RFE comprised the WWW Virtual Library in Economics.  NO LONGER UPDATED.

Database & Research Techniques

SDC Platinum's Worldwide Mergers & Acquisitions database.  (SDC Platinum's Bankruptcy database follows the same basic steps, but is simpler.)
